Sun sets on Ambrosia Restaurant in Kentfield

In sad news, Ambrosia Pizza, Pasta, Wine (850 College Ave., Kentfield) served their last meal Saturday, April 30th as a benefit for owner Mark Lesley. Mark was apparently moved to hospice care and reportedly died of stomach cancer.

Ambrosia had been a part of the Marin community (first in Larkspur, and then in Kentfield as of 2013) since 1999, serving Italian food. They were known for their pizzas and  glass of wine from any bottle in the place. Not fancy but not fast food either, Ambrosia was a pillar of the community and a popular spot for people of all ages. You could go as a couple for dinner, or with friends, or bring your kids and ti was a good experience in each case.

Amazingly, it was one of the only restaurants open for dinner in this stretch of Kentfield and will certainly be missed.
