Souvla restaurant coming to Marin Country Mart this summer

Fast Casual Greek restaurant Souvla will be opening up this summer at the Marin Country Mart (aka Larkspur Landing) in Larkspur. Souvla has 5 spots in San Francisco and this will be the first outside of SF. Our source says it is slated to open in August, but that is still a tentative date as they are doing a complete redesign of the space previously held by Marin Brewing Company for almost 33 years. The space will have an abundance of outdoor seating both as part of the restaurant and in the public space around the Marin Country Mart courtyard.

Souvla is extremely popular and highly regarded in San Francisco, and the Souvla menu features souvlaki style roasted chicken, lamb, pork, sweet potato, and even a plant-based lamb, wrapped up in a pita or mixed into a salad. Other popular items include their Greek fries and their frozen Greek yogurt (Ex. Greek Olive Oil & Flaky Sea Salt, Baklava Crumbles & Honey Syrup), which could be an awesome end-of-summer treat for the family if they hit their August opening date.

Souvla was founded in 2014 by Greek American Charles Bililies, who previously worked for Chef Thomas Keller at The French Laundry and Bouchon Bistro, and Chef Michael Mina.
